Prospective graduate students
Craighead supervises MS and PhD students in the kinesiology graduate program within the exercise physiology emphasis area at the University of Minnesota. The ICEPL is an excellent fit for prospective graduate students with backgrounds in kinesiology, exercise science, physiology, or biology. Prospective students should contact Craighead to discuss potential opportunities. Please be aware that the graduate student application deadline is December 1.
Prospective undergraduate students
Undergraduate students play an important role in the ICEPL, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to published research. Undergraduate research can be done on a volunteer basis, through the UROP program, for course credit, or as part of the Honors Program. No prior research experience or courses are required, only a willingness to work hard and learn.
Students outside of the School of Kinesiology are encouraged to apply as well. In order to have a meaningful research experience, we expect undergraduate students to spend approximately 10 hours a week on laboratory research and to be in the lab for at least two semesters.
